1. Preparation of the tooth
In your first appointment, one of our expert team will take an x-ray of your mouth to assess the root and tooth structure.
A local anaesthetic will then be used if the existing tooth needs to be reshaped to make space for the crown.
An impression is made of your existing tooth so that the crown can be tailor-made and shaped to suit your tooth and mouth.
A temporary crown is fitted and placed to protect the existing tooth between appointments.
2. Crown fitting
You will visit our clinic a second time for your crown fitting.
Your crown will be permanently cemented in place. Dr Oliver will only fit the crown if you are completely comfortable and happy with the shape, placement and fit of your crown.
